Using the Visual Editor
Cascade's visual editor (also called the WYSIWYG editor, for "What You See Is What You Get") allows you to see and control the formatting of your content as you enter it. Although it is designed to make it easier for users to enter content directly into a page, very often you will be cutting and pasting content into the editor from another source (such as a Microsoft Word document).

When pasting content from Microsoft Word, Cascade will attempt to remove certain formatting tags from Word and replace them with similar formatting. This can sometimes produce results that are not identical to the document you are pasting from. It is possible to switch to the HTML Source Editor to view and edit the underlying HTML code.
More information about the WYSIWYG editor and its commands are available at the Cascade Knowledge Base: WYSIWYG page. You can also watch a video tutorial about the WYSIWYG editor.
