Working with Assets

Assets are key components such as text, images, files, pages and links that populate the website. All assets reside in the Asset Tree, which is the file directory structure on the left side of the Cascade screen.   

Each asset will be represented by one of the icons you see below.

  Page – Both boxes and pages are page assets.

  Folder - A container within Cascade that acts a parent asset to other assets.

 File - Files may be a jpg/png/gif image, pdf, or any other static content.

 External Link - A hyperlink to an external (not contained in Cascade) URL.

 Block - Blocks are generally used for non-content sections such as left menu navigations, page headers and footers, selecting and sorting content, and embedded system code.
